CAPAD was created in 2003 with its official and juridical acknowledgement. It worked as a backup organization in terms of food security. By the end of the war (2005-2006) CAPAD has changed the program and now it focuses on agricultural development by intensifying the agriculture through the development of paths porters and innovative in terms of geographic area. Normally, we cover 12 480 households’ members gathered in 51 cooperatives with key sectors such as potatoes, rice, maize, cassava, peanut, vegetables.
Then CAPAD has integrated HIV/ AIDS and gender in its program.

A Burundi society where all farms should be able to cover their needs socially and economically with financial and material funds won by themselves.
